No, I’m not following Mr. Vosburg and releasing my cover just because he did. 🙂  Actually, I told my friends that I would post the cover after I got a copy of the book, and I have!  In fact, I got two copies of Space Dog and the Black Virus in the mail the other day, and let me say – the book is FAT!  I don’t know if I want to go over 480 pages in book three.  480 pages isn’t HUGE (Harry Potter 5 is HUGE), but it is fat and I don’t know if I have the patience to go any larger. I’m hoping that book three will be at about the same size.  I guess time will tell.  I have a lot to cover in book three.  In fact, when I originally planned the three books in my head five years ago, there were two large subplots that were to be introduced and resolved in the final book; however, I decided to bring those two plots into the second book and they will be resolved in the last.  I’m glad I did that – they feel at home in the second book.  Bringing them in and out all in one novel would have been rushed and the things that come up in the second book will hopefully leave the reader guessing about what might be coming in the third book. 🙂

Anyway, here’s the cover, as promised.  Click it to zoom.

I would like to also highlight a website called the Harry Potter Companion.  Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a Harry Potter fanatic-nut-person-thing, so months back I was asked whether I would allow for one of my Harry Potter art pieces to be used on this website – and I of course said yes.  My art can be found by clicking here.  It’s one of the first works of art on the site.  So, what is the HP Companion?  It’s a really cool idea where the entirety of the Harry Potter series is gone through “chapter by chapter” with illustrations of almost every scene from the books – and I mean every scene.  AT the end of each chapter is some insight by the site’s creator, John Kearns who has done work at Leaky.  So, go check it out.  There is some cool art there. 🙂

Alright, so I would like to get this actual site – Saulchichas – off the ground by actually adding content to it, and I’d like to focus on my “Bag O’ Books.”  Right now, I only have two series listed there, but I have LOADS more to add.  The first couple I would like to focus on are The Hunger Games and the Max Quick series.  I have yet to add the Max Quick Series to the page, but basically I’ll give a run down on my thoughts of every book in the series listed (I guess sort of my own personal review).  And I would definitely recommend the Hunger Games Trilogy and Max Quick Series to EVERYONE.  I’ve been trying to get my friends to read these books, I have yet to succeed, but I know they’d love them.  The Hunger Games is just blow your mind away, disgusting action that makes you go “HOLY QUACKAMOLY!!!!”  I can’t stop thinking about this book and I read it months ago.  And I can’t say anything but good things about Max Quick.  Mark Jeffrey, the author, is a Lulu author – and one of the successful ones at that.  I understand that his books are being looked at for major publishing deals and even a movie deal.  I hope they go well for him!  The Pocket and the Pendant is really awesome, fun and fast.  The characters are enjoyable and rememberable as is the story, but the thing that really caught me was the way Mark fused mythology together.  I think the first meeting with “Mr. E” will always be a classic, imo.  And then there’s the Two Travelers.  I got to read this book early and it took FOREVER for him to release it.  I hated having to hold my tongue and keep the plot to myself.  Anyway, I could go on and on right now, but I’ll wait until I add all the content and such.

See yeh then! 🙂

    Saul,

Great HP pic. You are definitely a gifted and talent artist as well as author. I also really like the cover for book 2 of the Space Dog series. I’ve said it before and I’m sure I’ll keep repeating it often. You have quite a future ahead of you.
